Pilates is a way of movement designed to promote core stability during functional movement. Exercises may be performed on a mat or on different pieces of Pilates equipment including the Reformer or the Chair. TherapydiaSF is equipped with Allegro 2 Reformers and the Exo Chair. Pilates may be included as part of the rehabilitation process or preventatively, as a form of exercise. Pilates is helpful for individuals with a wide range of conditions, or as a complement to an existing exercise program. Pilates is often used as a cross-training option for endurance athletes, golfers, or anyone involved in an active lifestyle. Trained through ITT and BASI, Sydney incorporates the techniques and principles of Pilates in her work with clients, has been trained in pre- and postnatal Pilates, and holds a Pilates for Golf certification.
